The system incorporate all components undergo vibration Stress Relieving to relieve residual stresses which might have been accumulated in service and or in failure. This stabilizes the component dimensionally and avoids stress corrosion cracking and improves fatigue life. The component then undergoes non-destructive testing including ultra sound/magnetic particle testing / DPT , alignment/run out checking, dimension checking to know extent, type and pattern of wear or damaged. This helps in scientific and most economical design of repairs.
Various data like service application, RPM/surface speed, H.P./torque, hardness required, condition of mating parts, lubrication type and condition, failure cause, duty cycle, material of construction etc. are collected and accordingly selections of machine, manpower and parameters of process is done along with sequence of operation and quality control at various steps is decided.
